Sustainable and circular business practices

HSV is a sustainable business; we offer a response to problems that affect society, such as air pollution and climate change.

From sustainable steam, green energy, zero waste and recycling to options for sustainable raw materials, HSV continues to develop – in order to provide a decisive response to problems that affect society and to contribute to improving living conditions, working conditions and the environment, now and in the future.

Your plastic product, manufactured sustainably

At HSV, your plastic product is manufactured sustainably, using sustainable steam and green energy. More than 4,500 solar panels have been installed on the roofs of our locations. At the HSV-TMP location in Leeuwarden, the warehouse floor is heated by means of cooling water return flow.

These changes have significantly reduced energy consumption, achieving a positive impact on the environment and on the footprint of our organisations.

Zero-waste policy

HSV has a ‘zero-waste’ policy. Using the lowest possible levels of raw materials, energy and steam during the production process, we develop and produce the most optimal products and semi-manufactured products for our clients. The manufacturing waste is re-used, though not always in the same application. We aim to optimise Cost of Ownership – both economically and ecologically.

Circular economy

The raw materials used to manufacture your products are fully recyclable. And you have the option to use recycled materials (recyclate) to manufacture your plastic products. Plastics are collected, recycled and re-used as raw materials to manufacture new plastic products. Environmental considerations are taken into account at all levels in our organisations.
